DOUBLE HAPPINESS
Double Happiness was a commission piece for a 'His-n-Hers' set which took on a life of its own and started my research and reflection on the corsage as a symbol of social conventions associated with personal adornment as well as botanical forms and their 'medicinal' uses.
The title came from a bar in NYC- which I liked because it had so much romantic promise and seemed appropriate to a 'His-n-Hers' set. I later found out that it is the Chinese symbol used to decorate marraige celebrations.
